Umbul-umbul

The standing red & white banners on the picture are called "umbul-umbul". Beside "bendera" (flag), we also sprout "umbul-umbul", and put other decorations along the street, in this August month, to celebrate "Hari Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia" (Indonesia's Independence Day)

a cigarette advertisement on a corner of a street.. It says "Karena logika beda tipis sama lo gila". Do you understand those words? (For bahasa Indonesia learners).

Karena = because 

Logika = logic

Beda = different

Tipis = thin

Beda Tipis = slightly different/ only little bit different / in this context it means 'almost the same'.

sama = same (in this context it means 'with')

Lo = you (it's a slang)

Gila = crazy.

Lo Gila = 'you are crazy' --> craziness.

Karena logika beda tipis sama lo-gila = because logic is slightly different with craziness. Because logic is almost the same with craziness.
