Kost (Kos) or Kos-kosan, actually it's from Dutch word... But the meaning is little bit different from the root word.
Now, Kost means "a room" (Kamar kos) or a house with rooms (Kos-kosan) that rooms are rented for a month, some months, or even a year.. it depends on the owner.
Kos/Kos-kosan is really different with hotels, or guest house..because kos-kosan are really like a normal house. Usually there is no receptionist room or something like that.
